The national government ordered this Wednesday the suspension of all flights to and from Italy, Denmark, the Netherlands and Australia from zero this Friday, December 25
until next January 8
, and only Argentines and residents may enter,
with the presentation of a negative PCR test for
coronavirus and the performance of a mandatory seven-day quarantine, according to an administrative decision of the Chief of Staff.
In this way, the pilot test that authorized the entry of foreign tourists from neighboring countries, both through the Ezeiza and San Fernando air terminals, as well as through the Buquebus port, will be suspended.
Argentines will be able to enter by these three routes and by land passes that were authorized by the National Directorate of Migration (DNM).
At the same time, based on the recommendations of the Health portfolio, and within a work articulated by the Head of Cabinet and the Ministries of Interior and Transport, it was decided to suspend the arrival and departure of flights to and from Italy, Denmark, Countries Netherlands and Australia, and maintain the restriction with Great Britain, as a result of the epidemiological situation in these countries after the appearance of a new strain of the coronavirus.
The DNM also ordered that the border crossings of San Sebastián and Integración Austral, located in Tierra del Fuego, be exempted from the restriction of expenditures and income, to guarantee transit with the Republic of Chile and the connection with the rest of the Argentine territory.
Sanitary Measures:
As for entering the country by any of the authorized routes, people who have been unable to perform the negative PCR test 72 hours prior to shipment in the country of origin, may perform an analysis upon arrival in Ezeiza .
Except:
* Diplomats, officials, and essential personnel from authorized destinations must have authorization from the DNM, present a negative PCR test and COVID insurance
* International transport personnel and crews are exempt from the requirements, under the application of specific health protocols, in the exclusive exercise of their activity.
* Athletes framed in specific protocols for sporting events, with prior authorization from the DNM and the Health Authority, their activity will be supervised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
