Christmas greetings with a difference: In Iceland, the crew of a rescue ship designed a Christmas tree - only visible through GPS devices.

The crew of an Icelandic rescue ship sent the coast guard and all other Icelanders exceptional Christmas greetings.

The crew of the »Gísli Jóns« drove a distance in the shape of a Christmas tree off the coast of Ísafjördur on Tuesday, according to the ship's Facebook pages and the Icelandic coast guard.

This route was then seen on the coast guard's GPS devices as an almost perfect Christmas tree, as the radio station RÚV now reported.

The place Ísafjördur is located in the secluded West Fjords in the high northwest of Iceland.
