In October, the iPhone 12 became the best-selling 5G smartphone in the world, followed by the iPhone 12 Pro, another model presented in October by the Cupertino company.
The Counterpoint analysis company certifies it.
Together, the two Apple devices are worth almost a quarter of all sales of 5G terminals in the world.
Sales are high in the United States, but also in China and Japan, where the latest generation Apple terminals compete with Android terminals from local manufacturers.
According to analysts, this represents a boost to the adoption of 5G mmWave technology for the moment only available in Apple models sold in the US, which has more than doubled from 5% in September to 12% in October thanks to the iPhone 12 and will push the operators to speed up installation and networks with this technology.
In third place of the best-selling 5G devices, there is Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G on the market since September.
In fourth and fifth place we find Huawei Nova 7 5G and Huawei P40 5G respectively.
In sixth place Oppo A72 5G and in seventh Huawei P40 Pro 5G.
