The pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson is due to release its clinical trial data by the end of January, according to reports in the United States.

The vaccine, named Janssen, will be the third to be approved for emergency use by the US Food and Drug Administration.

The pharmaceutical company announced last week the completion of the third trial phase, which is taking place in several countries around the world and in which about 45,000 volunteers are taking part.

One of the significant and promising differences of the vaccine is the fact that only one vaccine dose is required, which distinguishes it from the vaccines of the Pfizer and Modern companies.

US Secretary of State Brett Girier said of the results of the experiment: "We do not yet know the results of the third phase of the experiment, but I estimate we will receive them in January and then they will be submitted for special committee review."

According to the data known so far, the vaccine of the Johnson & Johnson company can be effective up to a level of 97 percent, the highest reported so far, but as stated the official results have not yet been received.

According to one of the company's researchers, the storage conditions are similar to those of Pfizer, which will facilitate the process of transporting and distributing the vaccine doses around the world.

As published in "Israel Today" in November, the State of Israel is negotiating with the pharmaceutical manufacturer so that its vaccine oils can arrive in Israel.

During the announcement, a senior official in the Ministry of Health stated: "We are in talks with all the major companies - GSK, Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi. Each of them is cooperating with us to a different extent."

A source in the field confirmed that advanced talks are underway with GSK.
