(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 25 - A worsening of the weather conditions in the northern regions is coming, extending from the evening also to the center-south, with snowfalls up to low in the center, thunderstorms on the southern Tyrrhenian sides and a decisive strengthening of the winds on Sardinia.
This was announced by the Civil Protection which issued a yellow alert for tomorrow, Saturday 26 December, in 11 regions: Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria and Sicily.
Starting this evening, snowfalls are expected at altitudes above 400-600 meters in Abruzzo and Umbria and at altitudes above 600-800 meters on Sardinia. Precipitation is also expected, also in reverse or thunderstorms, on Campania, Basilicata and Calabria, especially on the Tyrrhenian slopes. Storm winds are expected over Sardinia, with storm surges along the coasts. (HANDLE).
