The 25th edition of "Capri, Hollywood - The International Film Festival" will take place from 26 December to 2 January.
Since 1995, a classic of the international cinema calendar founded and produced by Pascal Vicedomini in collaboration with the Capri Institute in the world (chaired by Antonio Lorusso Petruzzi) with the support of Mibac DG Cinema and Audiovisual, Campania Region, the patronage of the City of Capri, the Municipality of Anacapri, the Italian Red Cross and the Nuovo Imaie together with Intesa Sanpaolo, Terna, Mercatorum, Frecciarossa and Isaia.
An important celebration to underline the work carried out in a quarter of a century of unique meeting occasions for the art, culture and entertainment industries of the Peninsula and the USA.
An event that immediately became a milestone for the films and artists competing for the global Awards;
a happening, in the heart of winter, capable of intercepting the attention of the international show-biz, always sensitive to the most urgent challenges posed by the world film and audiovisual industry and to major humanitarian issues.
25 years, a special birthday in a difficult time for the planet.
This has prompted the organizers to review the times, methods and extraordinary tools to be adopted to continue promoting Italy, its talents, and to keep alive the dialogue with international cinema built in the Gulf of Naples.
And the many messages of good wishes that have already reached "Capri, Hollywood", shared on the social media of the Capri Institute in the world, testify to this.
Among these stand out: Dario Argento, Pupi Avati, Francesco De Gregori, Carlo Verdone, Matteo Garrone, Zucchero, Mario Martone, Fiorello, Paolo Genovese, Edoardo Bennato, Giovanni Veronesi, Al Bano, Gianmarco and Maria Sole Tognazzi, Raf, Claudia Gerini, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Ron, Enrico Vanzina, Marco D'Amore, Tullio de Piscopo, Matteo Rovere, Marco Giallini, Marisa Laurito, Salvatore Esposito, Raoul Bova, Max Bruno, Peppe Servillo, Francesco di Leva, Pina Turco, Edoardo De Angelis.

The 25th edition of "Capri, Hollywood", which in 2019 the US magazine 'Hollywood Reporter' defined "the last great film festival of the year", is held on the Mymovies digital platform with a worldwide contest that has collected around 1600 applications from over 90 countries.
And still previews and special screenings of films running for the global Awards starting with "Notturno" by Gianfranco Rosi (a work designated to represent our country at the 2021 Oscars) together with the other three docu-films by the Italian author in perennial race for the success.
All the titles of the official program of "Capri, Hollywood 2020" - also available on the website www.caprihollywood.com and on the social media of the Festival (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube) will be available for free for viewing with the time modalities indicated for each individual Opera.
On the board of the Festival, Italian and foreign personalities loved all over the planet such as Lina Wertmuller (honorary chair-person of the Capri Institute) and Tony Renis (honorary president) together with Marina Cicogna, Enrico Lucherini, Franco Nero, Valerio Massimo Manfredi and Enrico Vanzina.
With them, Noa (president of the event), Peppino di Capri, Andre Griminelli, Oscar winners Dante Ferretti, Francesca Lo Schiavo, Alessandro Bertolazzi and again Terry Gilliam, Michael Radford and producers Mark Canton, Al Newman, Iginio Straffi and Andrea Iervolino.
Over the years, by producing first "Washington, Italy" then "Los Angeles, Italy - Film, Fashion and Art Festival" in the week of the Academy Awards at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Pascal Vicedomini and the Capri Institute around the world have strengthened the link between Campania, Capri and the mecca of US cinema with obvious benefits for both.
Extraordinary goals that can also be summarized in the Lifetime Achievement Oscar and the Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Lina Wertmuller (in 2019).
As previously, other 3 Stars had been obtained for as many iconic artists: the director Bernardo Bertolucci and the tenor Andrea Bocelli (2008 and 2010) and the composer Ennio Morricone (2016).
And so today as in 1995, cheers to Capri, cheers to Hollywood, cheers to the artists and their creations.
The quality of the future life of the world will also depend on the ability of talents to be able to tell their stories and their fantasies with imagination and in full freedom of expression.
