The budget of those who decided to give gifts also dropped to 175 euros per family, down 23% compared to last year, with the majority of 45% of Italian families who - underlines Coldiretti - spent between 100 and 300 euros, 41% under 100 euros, 14% from 300 to one thousand euros.
The result of the crisis is also the tendency to turn - continues Coldiretti - towards useful gifts with clothing, toys and food among the most popular in front of books, technologies and objects for the home.
Armored Italians at home on the key days of the holidays - continues Coldiretti - find consolation at the table and the greater time available translates, above all, into the tendency to cook more for themselves and their families.
A turning point that explains this year the boom of food and wine baskets customized according to different preferences, zero kilometer, traditional, vegan, healthy or green with specialties saved from extinction.
The food and wine baskets chosen by one in 3 Italians (34%) are in great demand, driven by the tendency to seek consolation in the table and in the kitchen compared to travel restrictions and the possibility of lunches and dinners with friends and relatives.
