(ANSA) - DOVER, DEC 25 - The British army announced on Friday that it had deployed more than 1,000 soldiers to swab thousands of truck drivers blocked in the English port of Dover due to the British variant of Covid-19.
After 48 hours of total closure, from Wednesday morning France allows the return of truck drivers blocked by the British side, provided they present a negative Covid test.
There are still thousands of people waiting to be tested in order to go home, some parked on the runway of an old airport, others directly on the motorway. (HANDLE).
