And now, Mr Maar, read a little bit from the story of your most famous hero, Sams, who celebrates Christmas.

Paul Maar, author

The prehistory is that Mr. Taschenbier was actually supposed to play Santa Claus for one of Mr. Lilienthal's work colleagues.

Now he is unfortunately getting sick.

He has already bought a Santa Claus costume beforehand.

He's now sending Sams off, it should kindly cancel.

Mr. Taschenbier is sick, he couldn't play Santa Claus, but Sams doesn't think about it.

She puts on Santa's coat, which is much too big, hangs around her beard, puts on a hat and comes to the ´Lilienthal family.

The doorbell rang ... I'll start all over again.

The Lilienthal family's doorbell rang.

Five-year-old Elvira, who had been sitting on the sofa in the living room, jumped up and asked: "Is that Santa Claus?"

Her father said: "We shall see that in a moment".

Her mother asked: "I'm sure you're excited, aren't you?"

"Nope, not a bit," said Elvira.

Mr. Lilienthal went to the door and opened it.

Outside stood a little Santa in a red coat that was much too big and that reached the floor.

"You are not Herr Taschenbier," said Herr Lilienthal without difficulty.

"Well watched," praised Santa Claus.

I am his temporary full-fledged substitute and come as a substitute for this. I could also say: "Here he is, the deputy or if he still has not understood: I am the self-appointed envoy from Mr. Taschenbier."

With that he simply pushed his way past Mr Lilienthal into the hall.

"Moment!

He called Lilienthal and held back his coat collar.

I still have to give you the presents. ”He took a large, brightly decorated cloth bag from the hall cupboard and handed it to Santa Claus.

“Oh, presents!

That's generous, ”he said, rummaging around in the bag.

“Just candy?

I would have preferred a couple of sausages. "Now he understood Lilienthal too:" But the presents are not for her, but for Elvira.

Didn't that tell you Mr. Taschenbier?

So you go in now, ask Elvira whether she has always been good, let them sing a St.

And then please go home very quickly. "

"Yes, well, said Santa Claus." "Well, then please knock loudly on the living room door there," ordered Mr. Lilienthal, "so that Elvira will get a real shock." "Why should she be frightened?" Asked little Santa.

"Yes, that's so common," he told Lilienthal and now knocked himself. From inside came a girl's voice: "Come in".

The voice sounded a bit scared, although Elvira had just said she wasn't excited.

Hesitantly, she took a few steps towards Santa Claus, who now came into the room.

"You're a little Santa Claus," she said.

"You can call me you," said Santa Claus.

"Yes, I am a small, but fine, extremely house-trained Santa Claus who asks you now, have you always been good?"

I hope you don't say yes «.

Elvira's mother looked at little Santa Claus with a mixture of curiosity and horror.

"Why shouldn't I say yes?" Asked Elvira.

"Because it would be a lie," said Santa Claus, "and because I can't stand good children anyway."

"Good children are boring and now you should sing a song," your father told me.

"Do you know one?"

"I know a lot, for example breathless through the night," she said.

Her mother said quickly, "Santa Clause thinks you should sing a Christmas carol." She turned to Santa Clause.

"You mean that, don't you?"

Santa Claus nodded.

"Then start!"

Elvira thought for a moment and began to sing.

“Let us be happy and cheerful and rejoice with all our hearts.

Funny, funny tralalalala, Christmas Eve is coming soon. ”Santa Claus covered his ears.

"You can't think of anything more stupid!" He shouted.

»Is it coming soon?

The evening has long since arrived.

And that silly trallala, that makes you cry. ”“ Do you know a better song? ”Asked Elvira.

"And do I know a better one?" Said Santa Claus.

"Listen and sing it after me!" He began to sing in a rasping voice.

“Hello, little Santa.

Come on, unwrap the presents.

Put it down in front of me quickly because otherwise I will be offended.

Last year the sack was half empty.

Hopefully there will be more this year.

Fideralala, fideralala, fideralala. ”“ A Christmas carol I don't know, ”said Mrs. Lilienthal, who had listened in amazement.

You won't sing this outrageous song afterwards, ordered Mr. Lilienthal.

He said to Santa Claus: "Now hand over the presents and say goodbye very quickly." It is still very turbulent, but I think I could end at this point.

Otherwise it will be too long.
