Recall: Dried figs from Aldi Süd are contaminated
The
dried figs of
the brand
"NATUR Lieblinge",
offered in the 200 g pack and exclusively with the
batch number L4302 / 350058631-11-580
in connection with the
best before
date (
best before date): 20.06.2021
will be recalled.
The product was sold in
Aldi-Süd branches
in Baden-Württemberg, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.
The
figs
are being recalled because high levels of
ochratoxin-A (OTA)
have been found.

, Frischebox GmbH writes: “Ochratoxins belong to the class of mycotoxins
(mold toxins)
.
Mycotoxins can pose a risk to health, so as a precaution the goods should no longer be consumed. "
Aldi recall: Dried figs are carcinogenic
Aldi Süd
has "reacted immediately and has already taken the product off the market." Other batches are not affected.
The product can be returned in the relevant Aldi Süd branches.
The customers get the purchase price refunded.
