(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 26 - There are 10,407 coronavirus swab positives in Italy in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
The victims are 261. Yesterday the positives were 19,037, the dead 459. The tampons carried out are 81,285 (yesterday they were 152,334), an almost halving due to Christmas Day.
The positivity rate is 12.8%, up from 12.5% yesterday.
In total since the beginning of the epidemic, cases have reached 2,038,759, with 71,620 victims.
The currently positive are 580.941 (+1.055), the discharged and healed 1.386.198 (+9.089), in home isolation there are 555.055 people (+1.155).
Patients in intensive care for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours have fallen by 2, in the balance between entries and exits.
There are 135 daily admissions to intensive care. The total number of people admitted to intensive care is now 2,582 Hospitalizations in ordinary wards have decreased by 98 units, bringing the total to 23,304.
The regions with the highest number of positive alcoronavirus swabs in the last 24 hours are Veneto 2,523, EmiliaRomagna 1,756, Lombardia 1,606, Lazio 1,123.
