Japan closes borders to foreigners

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 26 - Japan will not allow foreigners to enter the country from Monday to counter the spread of covid-19.

The provision will be in effect until the end of January.

This was announced by the Japanese government, reports the Nikkei agency.

Japanese citizens and foreigners living in Japan will be allowed to return to the country.
