Russia authorized Sputnik V vaccination of those over 60

The Russian Ministry of Health authorized this Saturday the vaccination with Sputnik V of

people over 60 years of age

, according to authorities of that country officially announced.

"The Ministry of Health approved changes to the instructions for use of the drug. Thus,

citizens over 60 years of age will also be able to be vaccinated against the coronavirus

," Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health, told Russian public television.

Until now Sputnik V, which began to be applied in Russia on December 15, was only being supplied to people between 18 and 60 years old.

Murashko, in this regard, affirmed that the latest analyzes confirmed that its use

does not pose any risk to older people
