(ANSA) - MILAN, DEC 27 - "I don't argue about solidarity and charity. Mother Teresa used to say 'Do even if someone argues'. I do. So someone is chatting from the living room at home, I prefer to give my little contribution to help someone in need" .

Thus the leader of the Lega Matteo Salvini replied to the attacks of recent days on his charity 'in front of the TV', outside the San Vittore prison, in Milan, where he went this morning to greet, thank and wish happy holidays to the staff and agents of the Penitentiary Police.

   "During these holidays - added Salvini - there are many Italians and Italians who work. Among the most complicated and least known jobs is that of the Penitentiary Police, women and men who work for our security 365 days a year not on the street but inside lecarceri. So I want to bring my and the affection of all Italians, to understand how we can help them work in better conditions, given that many structures, San Vittorecompreso, would deserve millions of euros in maintenance ".

   "While others spend their time arguing - continued the secretary of the League - I am happy, as I always do, to spend the days of Christmas, Boxing Day before and after New Year's Eve, trying to make a small contribution of solidarity to those who need it".
