(ANSA) - MILAN, DEC 27 - "It is not the beginning of free everyone, but it makes us look to the future with more hope": said the President of the Lombardy Region Attilio Fontana, inaugurating the vaccination campaign against Covid, from where they started the first doses for the other 13 hubs in the region, including the Codogno hospital, where the first Italian case was discovered, that of Alzano, in the Bergamo area, but also the Pio Albergo Trivulzio, the Spedali Civili of Brescia.
Virologists of the caliber of Massimo Galli, of the Sacco hospital and of Fabrizio Pregliasco were among the first to be vaccinated to demonstrate "adherence and trust" to the campaign.
Among the vaccinated at San Matteo di Pavia there is also Raffaele Bruno, the head of Infectious Diseases who has been treated by Matia Maestri, the so-called Patient 1.
Today for Fontana is a "fundamental day from which the path towards normality starts", with the need, however, to continue with the necessary precautions.
