The police came across an illegal warehouse with fireworks in a late night shop in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
Actually, the officials in the shop wanted to check on Sunday whether the Corona requirements were being met, as a police spokeswoman said on Monday.
Four young people came towards them with bags full of firecrackers.
Then the shop was examined more closely, it said.
The police finally found the fireworks in a back room.
How many firecrackers were found and what kind it was, the investigators did not disclose.
However, another vehicle was requested for removal, said the spokeswoman.
The late shop also had to close for the day because the owner could not present a license for a Sunday opening, it said.
In Berlin, as in the rest of the country, there is a ban on the sale of fireworks due to the corona crisis.
In addition, ignition was banned in dozens of places in the capital.
