The Berlin police are checking a colleague who may have wanted to travel to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania under the pretext of an imaginary mission - and thus would have violated the corona rules.
The police announced on Monday evening that disciplinary investigations had been initiated against the man.
He is said to have announced a fictitious police operation in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for several days.
The police said he could have tried "to circumvent the prohibition of the current SARS-CoV-2 regulation" during the turn of the year.
Whether other colleagues are involved and what motivation is behind the actions is, among other things, the subject of the investigation.
