  • Cohen in an advertisement for direct insurance

After a decade of successful cooperation, "Bituach Yashir" and Shani Cohen, the star of "Eretz Nehederet", are expected to end their cooperation, "Israel Today" has learned.

The collaboration began in 2010 and since then dozens of commercials starring Cohen have been filmed, which have been successful and award-winning.

At the center of the videos was Cohen, the secretary of the insurance agent Shin, who is trying her best to prevent the departure of dissatisfied customers in favor of direct insurance.

The message from the commercials is: Why fund an agent?

Not everyone liked the campaign, and the Bureau of Insurance Agents tried to prevent it from airing.

The issue even reached as far as the court, where insurance agents claimed that these advertisements mocked them and harmed their livelihoods.

The district court accepted their claim, but the Supreme Court reversed the decision and dismissed the claim.

In response, a commercial video was produced against me featuring a real insurance agent.

Over the years, guests such as Gila Almagor and Assaf Granit have participated in commercials.

The contract between Cohen and the insurance company is expected to expire at the end of the year and it appears that it will not be renewed.

The company asked not to comment on the news.
