Covid: New York exceeds 25,000 deaths De Blasio, 2021 rebirth

(ANSA) - NEW YORK, DEC 29 - New York exceeds the threshold of 25,000 deaths from Covid.

The city's health department has reported 25,008 deaths since the start of the pandemic, including 20,214 confirmed deaths from the coronavirus and 4,794 likely deaths from Covid.

A figure that the mayor of New York defines as "shocking".

But, he adds, "we are turning the page. The next year will be that of recovery, of rebirth".
