The anti-Covid vaccination certificate will be on the smartphone and can thus be exhibited on request.
The idea is from Los Angeles County - an area very affected by the coronavirus - which has partnered with the startup Healthvana to digitize data on the vaccine and insert it into the Apple Wallet, Apple's digital wallet, and Google's counterpart. , so you can show them at the airport or at the entrance to an event.
As Bloomberg reports, the novelty will kick off this week, and will initially serve as a reminder of the second dose of vaccine to people who were given the first dose.
But the system can also be used "to prove that you are vaccinated at airlines, schools and anyone who requests it," said Healthvana CEO Ramin Bastani.
Born in 2014 in Los Angeles, Healthvana has a software platform that provides patients with test results for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
During 2020, the company began working with Los Angeles County to communicate test results for Covid-19 to patients.
