(ANSAmed) - BELGRADE, DECEMBER 29 - The Croatian footballer DejanLovren, vice world champion with his country's national team, has made available a hotel of his own for people displaced as a result of today's strong earthquake in his country. "Dear inhabitants of Petrinja, I am making my hotel in Novalja available to 16 of the families most affected by the earthquake. If you need to, contact my collaborators", wrote Lovren on Instagram - as reported by the regional media.
Petrinja, a town 50 km south of Zagreb at the epicenter of the earthquake, was partially destroyed by the violent quake of magnitude 6.4 recorded today at 12.20.
Lovren, who plays as a central defender, has left Liverpool to join Zenit in St Petersburg.
