Another of Pier Paolo Pasolini's extraordinary talents comes to light: painting.
In fact, 19 paintings have been restored, in particular from the early years, which will be exhibited in a Picture Gallery in the Study Center dedicated to the artist from Casarsa della Delizia (Pordenone).
In total there are 19 works, including ink and mixed technique drawings and tempera and oil paintings, which reveal an aspect that is still little known to many of the versatility of Pier Paolo Pasolini's talent, namely that for painting, born at the university. (he was a pupil of the art critic Roberto Longhi) and practiced first in his youth and then in the last years of maturity.
Painting that Pasolini viscerally loved and which inspired him for the sets of his films.
After a cleaning and restoration carried out by a Friulian studio and with the support of a call from the Friuli Foundation, the works will soon be permanently exhibited in the hall of the Academiuta di lenga furlana, where the visitor will also find a choice of paintings of the Friulian artists with whom Pasolini developed a friendship and an effective collaboration: Giuseppe Zigaina, Federico De Rocco, Virgilio Tramontin, Anzil and Renzo Tubaro.
