An earlier curfew, but not for everyone.
Guest of the 20 Heures de France 2, Olivier Véran detailed the government's new strategy in the face of the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in certain regions of France.
The Minister of Health has evacuated the “idea of confinement” for an advanced two-hour curfew, from 6 p.m.
It would be in place from January 2 for the territories most affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.
The minister specified that the territories concerned were “departments, metropolises […], in which the incidence rate would be above the maximum alert threshold”. The Ministry of Health had specified to the press at the end of the afternoon that 20 departments would be targeted, from the Ardennes to the Alpes-Maritimes, via the Allier or the Bas-Rhin.
