(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 31 - The number of deaths linked to Covid-19 officially registered worldwide since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded 1.8 million, according to data from the American University Johns Hopkins.
The most affected country in absolute terms remains the United States, with over 341,000 deaths out of almost 19.7 million cases of contagion. Brazil (192,000, 7.56 million) and India (148,000, 10.2 million) follow.
The total number of infections registered in the world is 82.5 million, with 46.6 million cases cured. (HANDLE).
