The Knesset's Education Committee is currently presenting an exhibition called "Dialogue in the Mist," which presents landscape photos of artists from the Hebron Mountains.

The exhibition is curated by Nurit Gazit, a resident of the Othniel settlement, a mother of eight and grandmother of grandchildren, who has been painting since the age of 21.

Gazit was born in Buenos Aires when her parents were on a Jewish Agency mission, and returned to Jerusalem when she was a year old.

She studied music, appeared before women in poetry and Carlebach stories and when she was 21, a new mother, began painting.

"I had a few moments of boredom, I flipped through a photo book by the Lubavitcher Rebbe and decided to paint his portrait. When I finished, I was amazed by the result. I haven't stopped painting since," she says.

She initiated the exhibition before the Corona, but then the virus arrived and the local community center on Mount Hebron told her, "Who cares about art at this time?" Gazit did not give up and turned to artists in 20 Hebron Mountain communities. "My gut feeling said art would get people out. Out of the chaos they are in, "she says." Indeed, there was an impressive response.

Lots of excellent works were sent to me. "

From these works, she curated an exhibition featuring the Mount Hebron Council building. "Says Gazit. Among the works you can find landscape paintings of the Mount Hebron area, photographs and even songs.
