HMO Maccabi announced today (Wednesday) that it will schedule close to 70 percent of the target groups that it will vaccinate in Corona.
These are the group of chronic patients aged 55 and over, oncology patients over the age of 16 and patients suffering from immune system suppression.
These patients will receive a personal message inviting them to make an appointment on the app and on the website.
The Ministry of Health's latest directive is to prioritize the administration of vaccines as recommended by the Corona Vaccines Committee.
Patients suffering from severe immunosuppression will be vaccinated with first priority, and their families and caregivers can be vaccinated.
In each fund, a mechanism will be established that can give priority to additional patients.
Meanwhile, tonight, a number of citizens surprised the medical staff of the Maccabi Health Fund in Jerusalem with pizza trays.
It started with the initiative of a girl named Idit Mevorach Shag from Jerusalem, who visited the corona vaccine compound in the arena and saw the work that the brothers and sisters do there.
She decided to take matters into her own hands, opened a Facebook box and called on the residents to pardon the brothers and sisters and buy them pizzas.
Her request quickly spread to all groups on Jerusalem's WhatsApp and many people decided to mobilize and donate money.
"The surprise of us all was immense."
Excited, Efrat Mizrahi from Maccabi said.
"Right in the middle of the shift, a courier appeared with pizza trays and we did not really understand who it was for. When he said it was a gift from Jerusalem residents to our teams, the excitement was in the sky. We work here in the compound from morning to night. "We are mobilized and aware of the size of the mission. This attention of the residents of the city warmed our hearts and gave us strength to continue to give them excellent service in the future as well."
