(ANSA) - NEW YORK, DEC 30 - Neverland has a new owner.
Michael Jackson's California ranch, where he lived for 15 years, was bought by billionaire Ron Burkle, co-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team, for $ 22 million.
The property was put up for sale in 2014 for $ 100 million.
In 2017 it was withdrawn from the market due to the collapse of the price to 67 million dollars and the difficulty of finding a buyer.
The ranch was bought by Jackson in 1987 for just over $ 19 million. It is 2,700 acres located in LosOlivos, near Santa Barbara. The property includes a 12,000 square meter house, a swimming pool, a cinema, a ballroom, a fire station, a zoo and a Disney-style train station. The pop star owned it until 2009, the year of her death. (HANDLE).
