"The start of the vaccination campaign does not mean that our behavior will change with respect to protection from the virus: for the whole of 2021 the measures will remain the same as now, from physical distancing to masks, to hand hygiene. But with vaccinations we will begin to have fewer dead and less sick and this reassures everyone ".

Walter Ricciardi, advisor to the Minister of Health Roberto Speranza and professor of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine at Cattolica, told ANSA.

"We must pursue a double caution: get vaccinated and follow the appropriate rules of conduct".

Hippolytus, death rate is three times that of the flu

- "The death rate from Covid is three times higher than the flu, we have twice as many hospitalizations in intensive care and while the flu can be managed at home, for Covid we needed hospitalization which in the benign forms was double the flu ".

This was stated by the scientific director of Spallanzani Giuseppe Ippolito during the webinar on the "Plan of anti Covid vaccines in Lazio". "The speed with which this disease has spread is parallel to the speed with which the institutions found themselves facing the emergency. Lazio have done a great job ".

"Despite the vaccination we cannot think that we will return to the systems as they were before. The virus will keep us company until the first quarter of 2022. Those levels of gathering are no longer possible."

Thus the scientific director of Spallanzani in Rome, Giuseppe Ippolito, speaking at a webinar on the "Plan of anti Covid vaccines in Lazio".
