2020 was their year: past models have proven that the world does not belong only to the young

They have not stopped working on social media this year, producing interesting content, posing for productions and magazines, collaborating and giving advice. It is said that the world belongs to the young, but if you ask the supermodels from the past, there seems to be no truth in this statement.

Some of the greatest models who may have reached retirement age have proven in the past year that modeling has no expiration date, and if you know how to embrace the changing reality and respond well to technological changes - you are expected to succeed.

Those who were not stressed by the fashion industry's transition to the digital world and the kingdom of Instagram to the factor that influences finding work for models, managed to reap the rewards and continue to play on the field, despite the past years.

This year, three supermodels caught our attention - Al McPherson of Australia who celebrated 56, Claudia Schiffer of Germany who joined the 50th club last summer and Helena Christensen of 52, Denmark.

All three may be called past models, but it turns out they never left the spotlight, and in the past year, despite the corona and perhaps because, they have managed to hold headlines thanks to collaborations, coveted productions and lots of hot photos from home.

This was undoubtedly Helena Christensen's year.

With collaborations, gates and provocative nude photos - Christensen's meteoric success on and off the internet could not be missed.

Its ascent began in March, when the Danish top model moved to live in a magical cabin in the mountains with a stunning view, to pass there the period of isolation imposed on her due to the spread of the corona virus.

She shared the experiences from the cabin with her followers on Instagram, which today number 769,000.

That was the moment she realized she was allowed to show off her figure in swimwear and take out the eyes of all of us who are depressed in homes in big sweatpants.

Claudia Schiffer, who has 1.5 million followers on Instagram and is considered one of the "big six" that the fashion world has issued (along with Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington), has reached the age of 50. For the sixth decade of her life, Schiffer shared Working with her favorite jeans brand and all the celebs - "Prime", she designed with them two pairs of jeans in a limited edition, one basic with a light wash and the other with a high-cut black pedalphone.

10% of the proceeds from these jeans, which cost just over $ 200, will be donated to the United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF, for which Schiffer serves as ambassador.

Apart from doing this, Schiffer admires her Instagram account with great loyalty and shares, along with up-to-date photos, also lots of nostalgic moments.

Another person who has given work online is Al MacPherson, who has taken care to share with her half a million followers cultivation secrets and tips for a healthy lifestyle.

She has so much adopted what is happening on the net, that she has traditionally started live with people from different fields and has become one of the most interesting pages on Instagram, which does not fall short of that of young women who meet the definition of "network influencers".

McPherson is approaching the age of 60, but she does not give time to play a role and quickly learns the secrets of social networking and what needs to be done in them to stay relevant.
