(ANSA-AFP) - ROME, JANUARY 03 - British Prime Minister Boris Johnson reiterated his opposition to the holding of a new referendum on Scottish independence, supported by the Scottish Prime Minister who wished to return to the European Union.
"In my experience, referendums in this country are not particularly happy events," Boris Johnson told the BBC, alluding to the deep divisions caused by the 2016 Brexit referendum.
For the conservative leader, referendums should only be allowed "once per generation" . (ANSA-AFP).
