According to the police, the shots on a train in Lüdenscheid on Saturday were possibly fired with an airsoft pistol.
First a homicide squad started work.
On request, the police have now confirmed that the case will only be investigated for property damage.

No passengers or train crew were injured by the gunfire.
However, the investigators found similar damage to a gym as to the train - windows on the building were also broken.
Investigators called witnesses to come forward.
In the case of the damaged train, the federal police are responsible, for the gym the local police authority.
The shots at the regional train rang out on Saturday evening around 9 p.m. near Wehberger Strasse.
Several windows on the railway shattered.
At times, the police also used a helicopter to search for the perpetrators.
Because of the investigations, the section between Lüdenscheid-Bruges and Lüdenscheid was closed to rail traffic.
