US Vice President Mike Pence, who until now had decided not to support moves aimed at not conceding the victory to Joe Biden, now seems to be open to the initiative of a group of Republican senators to refuse to certify his election as president on next January 6th.
The BBC reports.
"Pence - assured his head of cabinet Marc Short - welcomes the efforts of members of the House and Senate to use the authority they have under the law to raise objections and present evidence before Congress and the American people "and shares" the concerns of millions of Americans about voting fraud and irregularities.
An important change of strategy given that Pence, as President of the Senate, will be responsible for overseeing the session on January 6 and declaring Biden the winner.
Although, according to the BBC, the initiative of the group of Republican senators is doomed to fail because most senators are expected to support Biden in the January 6 vote.
