Covid-19 in France: 380 deaths in hospital and 4,022 contaminations in 24 hours

According to the latest figures released on Monday by Public Health France, some 4,022 new coronavirus contaminations have been identified in the country in the past 24 hours.

As a reminder, we had 2,960 positive cases in France just a week ago.

On Sunday, health authorities announced 12,489 contaminations with the new coronavirus.

2,666 patients in intensive care

In terms of mortality, Public Health France deplores this Monday 380 new deaths recorded in hospital in the last 24 hours, against 116 on Sunday.

Since the start of the epidemic, 65,415 people have died from the disease, including 45,635 in hospital.

At the hospital, in fact, the health authorities count 1,262 new admissions for a coronavirus infection.

In total, 2,657 patients are currently being treated within these specialized services, a figure that has fallen slightly (2,665 patients on Sunday) after several days of increase.

More generally, 24,962 coronavirus patients are currently hospitalized in French establishments.

The number of hospitalized patients therefore tends to increase in the country.

They were 24,780 Sunday and 24,458 Saturday.
