Anyone who grew up in the eighties could hardly ignore this TV series: "Knight Rider" has many fans to this day, not least because of the vigorous appearances by David Hasselhoff.
He is now apparently closing this chapter of his career, at least with the material estate.
Because a number of souvenirs from this time are now for sale, as the 68-year-old announced on Twitter: "Everything has to get out," he sounds in a short video - then a camera pans through a room full of bags, prices, books, and, and and.
A look at the corresponding page of the auction also reveals that there is more for sale - including the car that many fans still consider to be the real star in "Knight Rider": KITT, the "Knight Industries Two Thousand" talking car.
Hasselhoff is likely to make a lot of money with the car: The auction is still running for 19 days, and on Monday morning the highest bid was $ 60,000.
Incidentally, Hasselhoff has experience with auctions of this kind: in 2014 he auctioned a replica of the KITT, and even then it caused a worldwide sensation.
It is not known whether Hasselhoff wants to make room at home or just needs money.
It is not entirely unlikely, however, that the auction will also have an advertising effect: »Knight Rider« will soon be re-filmed and turned into a cinema spectacle - then KITT would have a big appearance again.
