After all, the two films on the same topic were shown simultaneously on ARD, all third parties and on One.
As reported, the drama portrayed a kidnapping case from different perspectives - in one film from that of the commissioner (Bjarne Mädel) and in the other from that of the defense attorney (Klaus Maria Brandauer).
The question that arose was whether torture could be a means of getting a suspect to tell the truth.

Especially when it doesn't fit as well as in relation to the TV experiment “Feinde”, which ARD, One and all third parties showed in parallel on Sunday. Nevertheless, some are not too stupid to accuse them of “synchronization”. Aggressive critics claim that “state television” is operating here at the cost of paying the fee. The makers of "Feinde" didn't want that. On the contrary: by telling the story from two perspectives, the aim was to encourage the audience to form their own opinion.
It is true that "Feinde" could only have been broadcast on ARD and One. Why in all third parties? Because of the spectacle, of course. Because you can advertise splendidly with such an "event" in times when there are no events. In view of the fact that it only lasted 90 minutes twice and that other public broadcasters such as ZDF, Arte and 3sat offered plenty of alternative programs, the one who is hungry for entertainment will have coped with it.
What you can actually criticize is the creative implementation. Anyone who saw both films dawned on the 45-minute trial part, which only differed in nuances. More play with the genres, more built-in twists in the chamber play in court - in short: more provocation with regard to the moral conflict that the audience is supposed to face would have been appropriate for a broadcast on all channels. Potential wasted.
