First news from Marie-Sophie Lacarrau against Julian Bugier: so, what is it like after Pernaut?

2021-01-04T15:22:47.928Z

For this great premiere, we compared this Monday the 1 p.m. diary of Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, who succeeds Jean-Pierre Pernaut

The Pernaut page is turned: this Monday, January 4, we followed the first 1 p.m. newspaper presented by Marie-Sophie Lacarrau on TF1, and that of her now rival Julian Bugier on France 2.

12h58, on TF1.

A word to wish the happy new year, then a more personal message.

“I have a wish.

I hope to weave as soon as possible, with you, these same bonds of trust and complicity that you have been able to develop with Jean-Pierre Pernaut, for 33 years ”, launches Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, emerald green blouse, at the opening of the 13 hours.

“Very happy”, but visibly very stressed, the 45-year-old journalist, defector of France Television, thus took over from “JPP”, which presented its last newscast on December 18.

Marie-Sophie Lacarrau recalled "the bonds of trust and complicity" forged by Jean-Pierre Pernaut with viewers of TF1./LP/Arnaud Journois

As "we do not change habits", the priority of the day is: the weather.

And after the weather?

The weather again, or rather the unexpected snowfall in Uzès, in the Gard.

Followed by a micro-sidewalk on the morale of the French in the North, the count before the next vacation, the curfew at 6 p.m. in 15 departments, and a subject on the vaccination campaign against Covid-19.

Also discussed, “the catastrophic situation in England” and the tributes paid to the soldiers killed in Mali, or the aggression suffered by two police officers in Seine-Saint-Denis.

At the same time on France 2.

Julian Bugier launches his first newspaper of 13 hours as holder in the place of his former colleague, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, passed on the front page.

The presenter had to deal with a partial strike of the editorial staff, in support of the elimination of the four positions of sound illustrators.

“Hello, it's a great pleasure to open this 13 Hours with lots of new sections”, begins the one who was wild for more than ten years, and who plans a “proximity edition”, without a word for his ex- colleague, now a rival.

On France 2, Julian Bugier promises “a local edition” ./ LP / Arnaud Journois

At 1 p.m. sharp, the young forty-something, dressed in a sober blue suit, opens the ball with a report devoted to the vaccination campaign without addressing, therefore, the passing of the torch, nor his new role.

Then he takes control briefly, rather at ease, to announce a report on the concern of the catering sector, as TF1 will do five minutes later.

1:14 pm, still on France 2.

Julian Bugier promised many new features.

It starts with the new service section “Behind our labels”.

This first “consumer” survey focuses on “lifetime packages” offered by brands such as SFR or Cdiscount.

Journalist Julien Duponchel dissects these offers by interviewing specialists before speaking on set against Julian Bugier.

For a few minutes, the journalist distills practical advice to avoid being duped.

1:19 p.m., on TF1.

Smiles on stage.

Marie-Sophie Lacarrau opens the “Operation SOS Village” page, designed by her predecessor.

At his side, Dominique Lagrou-Sempère, came to present the story of the takeover of a hairdressing salon by Manon, 23, in the Puy-de-Dôme.

On the counter, 9,143 announcements to save small businesses throughout France.

And the former accomplice of Pernaut, the one he would have seen to succeed him, to evoke the JPPTV and to add facing the camera: "We greet Jean-Pierre".

“Yes, we greet Jean-Pierre”, outbid the new incumbent at the post, who grew up in Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales).

1:20 pm, on France 2.

Julian Bugier, originally from Blois (Loir-et-Cher), launches “The Initiative”.

This new section highlights original ideas from all over France.

For this first, head for Sérifontaine in the Oise.

In this village, the inhabitants can recover pizzas, without contact, in a distributor.

A device that has enabled this restaurateur to increase its sales by 10% this year, despite the pandemic.

“Several times a week, we will meet these French people who have ideas to share.

Tomorrow, we will go to Tonnerre in the Yonne ”, announces Julian Bugier, more and more at ease.

1:24 p.m., on TF1.

Make way for the second part of the news, "more precisely devoted to current events in our regions": floods in the Landes, ice storm in Auvergne, cross-country skiing in a small resort in Savoie, the kings' draw in Pornic and a bequest of one million euros to the city of Vaiges, in Mayenne.

Practical question then concerning the Christmas trees: "How to get rid of them properly?

»Answer: by feeding them to the goats, or by recycling them to make compost.

And beware of bad citizens: Marie-Sophie Lacarrau recalls that it costs 150 euros to abandon them on a sidewalk.

1:29 pm, on France 2.

In a sober and efficient way, Julian Bugier juggles between subjects without losing his smile.

The presenter, who wants to be a “friend” with the viewers, fully plays the card of proximity with subjects which concern the viewers or have strong local roots.

He continues this news with a little sweetness with a report on families who love greeting cards, before a focus on the January challenge without alcohol.

Then direction Val-Cenis, in Savoie.

The “soap opera” of the 13 Heures de la Deux takes us this week to the mountains, where tourists opt for new activities for lack of a ski lift.

Here, not cross-country skiing as on TF1, but ice climbing illustrated by superb images.

13:38, on France 2.

“This is the end of this newspaper produced under special conditions due to a strike movement by some of the staff, slips Julian Bugier.

Thank you very much for your loyalty.

(…)

Have a great day.

We meet tomorrow same place same time!

"

1:45 p.m., on TF1.

A word on the Stock Exchange, "on the rise" and more images of snow in the Gard.

“We were there earlier, we're going back.

It's so beautiful, marvels Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, more relaxed.

I say good afternoon and see you tomorrow.

"

Some hesitation and a sometimes school tone, but overall, it's a successful baptism of fire for the one who has just settled into Pernaut's slippers.

But not easy to forget Jean-Pierre.
