"The Mandalorian", which airs on Disney's streaming service, has become the most sought-after series on pirated download sites this year.

The Star Wars fantasy series "Mandalorian" overtook "Game of Thrones" and picked up the title of the most sought-after series in the illegal downloads.
TorrentFreak has announced that "Mandelorian", which airs on the streaming service Disney Plus, became the series with the most pirated downloads in 2020.
In doing so, she inherited Game of Thrones, which for the past decade has been the undisputed hit on pirated servers.
"The Mandalorian" is based on the "Star Wars" universe by director George Lucas and is considered the flagship series of Disney Plus.
Two seasons have already been aired successfully and a third is in advanced production stages.
Just two weeks ago, it was announced that Disney was working on no less than three spin-off series per series, which are expected to air next year.
The series also received a hug from TV critics and Star Wars fans and was nominated for 15 Emmy Awards at a ceremony held last September, including in the category of best drama series.
She has won seven awards in the technical categories.
Disney may not like the idea of people downloading the series in a pirated way, but it is certainly a flattering testament to the demand for the series.
Disney's streaming service was launched just 14 months ago, and three weeks ago already passed the total of 86 million subscribers.
This is a goal that Disney thought would only be achieved by 2024.
In the coming months Disney Plus will also be launched in Eastern Europe and the Far East.
Other series that were popular this year on the pirated download sites: Amazon's "Boys," starring Israeli actor Tomer Kapon;
HBO's "Westworld";
"Vikings," whose last season aired last week;
And "Star Trek: Picard" starring Patrick Stewart.
