After having experienced the first days of decried slowness of execution, the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus led by the executive is activated this week.
This Tuesday morning on RTL, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran said he was concentrating his efforts on one device in particular: the “500 to 600” vaccination centers which must be opened in town by the end of the month.
But at this stage, elected officials, asked to implement this change in strategy, are struggling to get answers from the administration.
To avoid possible hiccups, some take the lead, in particular by offering devices similar to those which seem to work abroad.
"We want local vaccinations"
These centers are intended "for the city, first of all for health professionals, home helpers, firefighters".
100 of these establishments must be deployed this week “in addition to hospitals”, promises Olivier Véran, then 300 the following week, before reaching the objective, at the end of January, of 500 to 600. These centers will then have to be able to take in charge of those over 75, then other categories of the population.
This device should make it possible to vaccinate a greater number but its form has not been further detailed by the Minister.
Will these centers be "vaccinodromes", large centers sometimes created especially for the occasion?
Olivier Véran, who must describe their operation at a press conference on Thursday, once again closed the door Monday evening to this debate which has agitated the medical community for several weeks.

The mayor of Dijon has great ambitions.

In Cannes, despite the government's wishes, two vaccinodromes are well prepared.
They will be housed in the Palais des Festivals, precisely in the Mediterranean hall over a surface area of 900 m2, and in the Palais des Victoires, with four delimited spaces inside each center: “A reception / registration area, a pre-vaccination and consent area (to evoke allergies and / or intolerances), an area made up of 3 vaccination boxes, a rest area (15 to 30 minutes) to ensure there is no reaction to the vaccine , a zone of recovery of the certificate ”, details the town hall.

With this device, she will be able to inoculate "between 15 and 20 vaccines per hour, or approximately 1,200 vaccinations per day depending on the opening hours which remain to be defined".
Smaller centers could then emerge on the outskirts of the city.
But according to the entourage of the LR mayor of the city, David Lisnard, the green light from the government has still not arrived to use these structures.

A 20-minute journey in Germany
Germany, which used its army to organize logistics, has seen big.
In the space of a few weeks, the country has deployed 440 vaccinodromes, located in spaces allowing fluid circulation and maximum ventilation: old airports, velodromes, supermarket warehouses, hotels, exhibition parks, indoor play areas, gymnasiums , concert halls or even youth hostels.

As in each land, the vaccination course is organized by counter (registration, information session, vaccination, observation phase) and planned not to exceed 20 minutes, details the German media DW.
In Berlin alone, the six centers set up were supposed to be able to vaccinate 22,000 people every day.
But an unanticipated shortage of vaccines has forced some of these large hangars to close as quickly as they were created.
