Mayors of the Atlantic coast of Buenos Aires agreed with Governor Axel Kicillof not to apply new restrictions for the time being due to the increase in coronavirus infections, although they spoke of intensifying prevention measures.
They did so during a meeting that the provincial leader led in the town of San Bernardo, in which they analyzed the health situation and, particularly, what happens in spas and the permanent agglomeration of young people.
"In a meeting with Axel Kicillof, Intendants of the Coast and of the entire Province, we analyzed the health situation in the first month of the season. At the moment we are not going to take new restrictive measures, but we must all comply with the care and prevention measures" , the mayor of Villa Gesell, Gustavo Barrera, published on his Twitter account.
For his part, Martín Yeza, mayor of Pinamar, expressed himself along the same lines: "After a meeting with Governor Kicillof, we made the decision to remain on alert, follow up on the increase in cases and increase information and awareness. We all agree on the importance of defending the season and work. "
