Covid: in Lazio 1719 cases, 'curve tends to rise'

In Lazio, new cases of Covid-19 are increasing, as are victims and hospitalizations while intensive care decreases. Out of over 13,000 tampons (+3,373 compared to yesterday), 1,719 positive (+385), 72 deaths (+49) and +1,416 recovered were recorded. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, 05 JAN - In Lazio, new cases of Covid-19 are increasing, as are victims and hospitalizations, while intensive care is decreasing.

Out of over 13,000 tampons (+3,373 compared to yesterday), 1,719 positive (+385), 72 deaths (+49) and + 1,416 recovered were recorded.

"The curve tends to increase and we must maintain maximum rigor" commented the councilor for health Alessio D'Amato.

And the new cases in Rome city return to 700. While the ratio between positives and swabs in the region is 13% (which falls to 4.6 if we also consider the antigen tests).


   Meanwhile, the 70% threshold for the administration of anti-Covid vaccines in Lazio was exceeded in the afternoon, which remains intact among the Italian regions.

"There is concern about the delay in deliveries of the doses expected today from Pfizer, only 40% of the expected doses have arrived" underlined the councilor, adding that the campaign continues on the day of Epiphany.
