Dentist demonstrates how to properly clean toothbrush (@ dr.m_)

If you think it is enough to rinse your toothbrush with water before and after each use - you are wrong.

A dentist who has become a star of Tiktok claims that rinsing the toothbrush with tap water is not enough and that we should learn how to clean it properly, because at any given moment more than a hundred million bacteria are celebrated on our brush.

The My Job Quote team searched the web for the biggest cleaning mistakes we make in the bathroom and came to the conclusion that one of our most common mistakes is the fact that we do not clean our toothbrushes well enough.

They used a ticking video of the dentist known as Dr. M, whose real name is Suhail Mohudin, to show how to do it right. A study by the University of Manchester found that the toothbrush is home to more than one hundred million bacteria. Dr. M noted this. In his video when he wrote: "Did you know that your toothbrush necessarily contains a ton of bacteria ?! This is how you will clean it and maintain your health."

In the video he demonstrates the correct ways to clean a toothbrush.

On a daily basis he recommends rinsing the brush head with warm soapy water and making sure you have removed all the soap properly.

Some of you may do that, but his second step is probably not.

Dr. M recommends disinfecting the brush every month. To do this he mixes one teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide in a glass of water (237 ml) and puts his toothbrush in a soaking glass overnight before rinsing it the next morning.

Alternatively, the doctor suggests, the toothbrush can be soaked in anti-bacterial mouthwash, in water with dissolved tablets for cleaning dentures or in a glass of water with two teaspoons of baking soda.

I never thought about it, but it makes perfect sense.

Thanks, Doctor. "Another said," This is a great video!

Definitely going to share this information! "" Good to know, "replied a third person. Others wondered why no one ever updated them in particular this all-important information. Some said they were just replacing their toothbrush as recommended. One wrote:" I mean. , I thought we were just supposed to replace them.

I change mine every four to six weeks. "Someone replied," You should replace them, but you also accumulate bacteria on the brush every day, so this is a good way to clean them until you buy a new one. "
