Quarantine breaker from the Netherlands arrested in Zurich

A Dutch woman who tested positive for the coronavirus fled quarantine in Switzerland and wanted to fly to her home country.

The 17-year-old was temporarily arrested in Zurich shortly before boarding a plane to Amsterdam, the police said.

The young woman admitted that she had presented a fake corona test with negative results at the airport.

According to their own statements, the police initiated criminal proceedings for violating the Epidemic Act and forging documents.

The 17-year-old had tested positive in the canton of Valais.

There are numerous open ski stations there.

The authorities there had ordered quarantine for them.

When they saw that the young woman had left, they informed the police.

After the arrest, the accused was taken back to Valais in an ambulance.
