"A few days ago, I spoke with the CEO of Moderna, Stefan Bensel, and tomorrow the first shipment of Modern vaccines is scheduled to arrive in Israel," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said tonight (Wednesday) in a photocopied statement.

"We give these vaccines to people who cannot get to the HMO, who are isolated in their homes or who for any other reason cannot get to the injection sites," Netanyahu added.

He said, "This is the first shipment of modernity, more will come. I am working to bring millions of additional vaccines to the citizens of Israel so that we can get out of the corona plague once and for all."

The amount that will arrive in the first stage is a small amount of more than 100,000 vaccines.

The first shipment is small in scope in part because it is designed to practice the supply and refrigeration chain.

The vaccines will be stored in the factory of the Sala company in Shoham, which also stores Pfizer's vaccines.

Modern vaccines are stored at a temperature of minus 20 and not at a temperature of minus 70 like those of the Pfizer company.

In addition, they are also less susceptible to shaking and can be used for up to 30 days from the expense of deep cooling (in Pfizer vaccines only five days).

As mentioned, the company announced on Tuesday that the Israeli Ministry of Health has approved its vaccine.

"Six million rations have been promised," it said.

Because each company vaccine requires two doses injected 28 days apart, three million vaccines were actually promised.

The initial estimate was that the shipment would be delivered only in March.
