With all the hype surrounding the "Bridgerton" series on Netflix, we somehow slipped under the radar the fact that another and no less intriguing series was also aired.
About a month ago, Netflix launched "Selena: The Series," which tells the story of the life of the successful American-Mexican singer Selena Quintania, who was murdered by her fan in 1995, when she was only 23 years old.
But despite the singer's fascinating story, the reviews surrounding the series are pretty chilly.
However, we found one bright spot to unite in: the boiling casting for Selena’s lead role.
The one who got into the shoes of the legendary Latin singer is
Christian Saratos
, A 30-year-old American actress of Mexican-Italian descent, who may therefore be identified by her roles in the films "Twilight" or the series "The Walking Dead."
A dive into her latest fashion productions in reputed magazines like Vogue Mexico and Marie Claire reveal that this is a star with huge potential.
The fact that Selena's character was previously played by Jennifer Lopez (in 1997 to be exact) also bodes well for Saratus.
If her career reaches even half that of Jay Lou's - she can be calm.

Saratos, who was born in Southern California, began her career at a really young age.
Already when she was seven she signed with a modeling agency.
In 2004, when she was 14, she began her career as a star in Nicolodion.
Since then, she has picked up a few more prominent roles in television and film, but there are those who claim that the latest Netflix series will be a real springboard for her.
"I have known Selena's songs since the age of four," she told who what wear in an interview.
"I grew up listening to her music. I admired her."
According to her, the current role she plays is a kind of tribute to her goddess.
"It's a way to thank her for what she has done for me, for my community."

A stroll through her Instagram proves that she was not just signed to a modeling agency even before she was ten years old.
This woman knows how to be photographed.
2.3 million followers are not wrong - and it delivers the goods.
We caught a few photos in the feed, such as this one from last November's American Music Awards, where she wore a Tom Ford mesh dress, and a fashion production with a Latin scent by Marie Claire, also dressed in designer clothes like Chanel's Off Shoulders, A red lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana and floral dresses by Brock Collection and Aradem.
In her interview with who what wear she revealed that towards the second part of the series, she has learned to ash herself.
When it comes to style, she enlisted the help of famed stylist Low Roach, who has been linked for several years with stars like Zendaya, Kerry Washington and Priyanka Chopra.
Aside from style, on her Instagram you will also get a glimpse into her private life.
From her opinions (which promote gender and racial equality and animal rights), through fine humor to couple photos with her singing husband David Boyd and their baby daughter.
So we may not be qualified enough to recommend watching the new series in the face of the deadly reviews, but remember who recommended you keep an eye on the star.
