(ANSA) - ROME, 06 JAN - There are 20,331 positive swabs for alcoronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
The victims are 548. The swabs carried out were 178,596.
Yesterday there were 135,106 tests.
The positive rate was 11.3%, almost unchanged compared to 11.4% yesterday.
Patients in intensive care for Covid-19 in Italy are increasing by two units, in the daily balance between entries and exits, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
There are 183 daily admissions to intensive care: the total number of people admitted to intensive care is now 2,571.
On the other hand, 221 patients came out of the ordinary wards in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 23,174.
Currently positive are 568,712, down compared to yesterday (-449).
The healed today are 20,227 for a total of 1,556,356.
Veneto with 3,638 cases is the region that today records the most new coronavirus infections.
Lombardy (2,952), Lazio (2,007) and Tuscany (1,692) follow, with Emilia Romagna and Puglia exceeding 1,500 cases.
