Nine regions with intensive care over the alert threshold

- After the progress of the past few weeks, the number of regions that exceeds the alert threshold for places occupied by Covid patients in intensive care is increasing again: the national average is in fact at 30%, but 9 regions exceed this threshold, or 3 more in a week.

The number of regions that exceed the alert threshold of 40% of places in hospital wards is also growing: in this case there are 9, one more than a week ago.

This is shown by the data of the National Agency for Regional Health Services (Agenas) for January 6.

According to the decree of the Minister of Health of 30 April 2020, the alert threshold of intensive care places occupied by Covid patients has been established to be 30%.

At the national level, according to the latest data, the percentage is exactly on this figure.

But there are 9 regions in which it is exceeded: Emilia Romagna (31%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (35%), Lazio (32%), Lombardy (38%), Piedmont (31%), Autonomous Province of Bolzano (35%) ), Autonomous Province of Trento (50%), Puglia (33%) and Veneto (37%).

As regards the places occupied in the 'non-critical' area, ie in the medical, pulmonology and infectious diseases departments, the limit threshold has been identified at 40%.

At national level, we are still around 36%, but there are also 9 here, one more than a week ago, the regions beyond the threshold: Emilia Romagna (44%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (51%), Lazio (44% ), Liguria (41%), Marche (44%), Piedmont (48%), Autonomous Province of Bolzano (44%), Autonomous Province of Trento (59%) and Veneto (44%).
