The TAR of Calabria accepted the request for suspension of the order for the closure of elementary and middle schools issued by the acting president of Calabria, Antonino Spirlì on 5 January, while the effects of the provision remain valid for high schools.
The appeal was presented after the presentation on January 5 of the closing order ordered by President Spirlì which suspended classes in elementary and middle school until January 15 and in high school until January 31. For high school students, the administrative judges they will express next 10 February.
In Lazio the high schools will be in Dad until January 18. The President of the Lazio Region Nicola Zingaretti, given the increase in the Coronavirus infection curve, will today sign an order to postpone the opening in the presence of high schools to January 18. Until that date, distance learning for secondary school students will continue to be active. "Our goal is to reopen the schools safely but it is a duty to do so guaranteeing the highest level of attention. The Lazio Region, after having strengthened the transport system, is ready to bring the students back to attendance but the these last days forces us to choose prudence ". Thus the vice president of the regional council Daniele Leodori. "From January 18 - concludes Leodori - we will follow the national guidelines regarding the reopening in the presence of schools".
