Copernicus, on a par with 2016 (ANSA)
2020 was the hottest year ever recorded globally, on a par with 2016: a year that closed a decade of record temperatures as evidence of global warming. This was announced today by Copernicus Climate Change Service, the earth observation program of the European Union. 2020 recorded 1.25 degrees centigrade more than in the pre-industrial period, just as it did four years ago.
