Covid, Mayor of London declares hospitals alert

(ANSA) - LONDON, JAN 08 - The Labor Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, today proclaimed a hospital alert in the British capital, due to the spread of hospitalizations linked to the spread of a more aggressively contagious variant of Covid.

Khan evoked a "serious accident" situation, warning that "the spread of the virus" is currently "out of control" in the metropolitan area.
