Covid: positivity rate drops to 12.5%, but still 620 deaths

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 08 - There are 17,533 positive swabs for alcoronavirus in the last 24 hours in Italy, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

The positive rate was 12.5%, down 2.3% from 14.8% yesterday.


    The positives yesterday were 18,020, the dead 414. In total since the beginning of the epidemic, the cases are 2,237,890, the victims 77,911.


    The patients in intensive care for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Italy are unchanged, in the daily balance between entries and exits.

In total, 2,587 patients are hospitalized in intensive care.
